Coral reefs are among the most diverse and vital ecosystems on the planet, supporting more species per square meter than any other marine habitat. Sadly, many of these reefs are now in serious decline due to both human activities and natural stressors.

One powerful solution is coral propagation—helping coral reproduce and recover in damaged areas.

🐠 What Is Coral Propagation?

Coral Propagation Koh Kood is conducted through the Ocean Quest Coral Propagation Program (CPP), which focuses solely on rehabilitating damaged reefs using natural methods. No plastic, cement, or synthetic materials are used—only live rock and broken coral already found on the reef.

The goal is not to create artificial reefs, but to assist nature in rebuilding existing reef systems sustainably and respectfully.

📚 Ocean Quest Coral Propagation Course – 2 Days

Join BB Divers for a hands-on experience in reef restoration. This 2-day coral propagation course will give you the knowledge and practical skills to take part in coral nursery and rehabilitation work.

Day 1 – Theory Session
Learn about coral ecosystems, causes of reef damage, and the Ocean Quest natural propagation technique.

Day 2 – Dive & Practice
Take part in planting coral fragments on our local training reef in Koh Kood.
