Some dive days are all about exploring coral gardens and spotting turtles. Others, like this one, are about giving something back to the sea that gives us so much. On October 18th, the Koh Chang diving community came together for one of the most rewarding days of the season – Ocean Clean-Up Day 2025.
🌿 Mission: Protect the Blue Heart of Thailand
Early in the morning, five boats full of volunteers, divers, and ocean lovers departed for Koh Rang National Park, the crown jewel of scuba diving around Koh Chang. The mission wasn’t about discovering new dive sites – it was about removing what doesn’t belong under the surface.
Armed with mesh bags, gloves, and determination, teams split between underwater clean-ups and beach sweeps. By the end of the day, the results spoke for themselves: all boats returned loaded with trash, from plastic bottles and fishing nets to ropes and debris carried in by tides.

At BB Divers Koh Chang, we believe protecting the ocean is part of being a diver. That’s why we were proud to support the event with our Big Boat, dive instructors, and boat crew. A special thank you goes out to Instructor Chang, who helped coordinate logistics, and to our passionate team members who volunteered to dive for a cleaner ocean.
It was both shocking to see how much waste we collected and inspiring to watch so many people working together for a shared purpose. Every bag filled meant another stretch of reef or beach could begin to recover.

Marine conservation isn’t just about education and awareness – it’s about action. Events like this help protect fragile coral ecosystems, improve habitats for marine life, and remind us all of our responsibility toward the sea.
With cleaner beaches and healthier coral reefs, Koh Chang remains one of the best scuba diving destinations in Thailand, and future generations of divers can continue to enjoy its vibrant underwater world.
